Event Programme
6.15pm
At 6:15pm the torchlight procession leaves from Market Place in the town centre. The procession will be led by St Sebastian’s band and various local dignitaries. If you have never attended the procession we strongly recommend it. The sight of several thousand people with 700 flaming torches walking down Broad Street is truly memorable! Torches and children’s glow toys will be available for sale next to the Town Hall. NB While in the parade please follow the band. Map of Procession Route>>
5.30pm
The fun starts at 5.30pm when the funfair opens on Cantley Field for those who choose not to join the procession. This year the funfair promises to be even bigger than ever with many rides for young children, as well as scary rides for the older ones! On the field there are also our stalls selling glow toys for the kids – all profits support our nominated charities.
7.30pm
The fireworks start at 7:30pm on Cantley Field and the display will be bigger and better than ever and sure to wow the audience just like previous years.
Food & Drink
Several food vendors will offer a variety of tasty snacks and drinks.
Please note that, in the interests of public safety, ALCOHOL IS NOT ALLOWED on the field.
Parking
Parking around Cantley Field is very limited, so we strongly suggest you park in one of the town centre car parks and enjoy the Torchlight Procession to the field. Details of public car parks in Wokingham can be found here:

Note that charges have been introduced for evening parking.
Dogs
We are aware that many dogs are frightened by fireworks and may react unpredictably, so could be a danger to small children. We therefore do not allow people to bring them into the event.
Proceeds
All proceeds go to local charities. Our target this year is to raise £25,000 for good causes, so please support us.
